Which country’s laws apply to any disputes?

If you are a consumer, please note that these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

If you are a business, these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Event T & Cs

Our events are open to all women from organisations having less than 100 staff. When attending our events you will abide by our values.

All our events require you to book and pay in advance of attendance.  Our events can be booked through our website. Members can log in to receive a reduced event rate.

Fees are non-refundable even in the event of non-attendance.

 

Liability 

4 Ivy Ltd does not accept responsibility or liability for any members' products or services.  

Our liability to you or any third party, for a claim of any kind arising as a result of or related to any action of ours or product or service, whether in contract, in tort ( including negligence or strict liability) or otherwise, under any warranty, condition or guarantee or otherwise, shall be limited to monetary damages and the aggregate account thereof of all claims relating to any particular action, service or product shall, in any event, be limited to a sum equivalent to the aggregate amount paid to us for the relevant action, product or service which gave rise to the claim.  You will indemnify us against any claim that exceeds this figure,  This limit will not apply in the case of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.  You may bring no action, regardless of form, more than one year after the events that gave rise to the cause of the action. 

Membership T & C's

Membership and Termination of Membership

  • Membership is open to all women from organisations having less than 100 staff on acceptance and payment of the relevant membership fee.
  • core values of the organisation.
  • An annual membership fee shall be levied on each member and must be paid annually via our website.
  • Membership will only commence after all fees have been received.
  • Membership runs for one year from the date of commencement.
  • Renewal will be assumed automatically one year after the original commencement date of membership unless cancelled within the member account area on our website.
  • Event fees are separate from membership and can be purchased at a reduced rate by logging in through the member's area on our website.  Fees are non-refundable even in the event of non-attendance.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, a member can belong to other similar organisations.
  • All membership rights cease with the termination of membership and access to the member's area will immediately be removed.

4 Ivy Ltd may terminate membership:

  • In the event of any serious or repeated breach or repeated non-observance by the member of any of the material stipulations 
  • If the member is guilty of any conduct (in our reasonable opinion) could bring us into serious disrepute
  • If the member becomes bankrupt or makes any composition or enters into any deed or arrangement with her creditors
  • If the member is convicted of any indictable criminal offence (other than an offence under road traffic legislation in the United Kingdom or elsewhere for which a fine or non-custodial penalty is imposed)
  • If the member shall become a patient under the Mental Health Act 1983
  • If the member is convicted of an offence under the Companies Securities (Insider Dealing ) Act 1985 or under any other present or future statuary enactment or regulation retaliation to insider dealing or company law
  • If the members take any action which is reasonably felt to be detrimental to our interest
  • In the event of membership termination by 4IVy Ltd then we have no liability to return the feed paid

Membership disputes & discipline

  • It is a fundamental belief that in the advent of any dispute, the investigation should be thorough, transparent and fully accountable to all parties concerned.
  • We retain the right to “freeze” a membership to investigate the activities of any members of any length of time by a vote at a quarterly meeting should this be deemed necessary for the good of 4 Ivy Ltd as a whole.
  • Members will be entitled to know all the reasons and see all written information for such an action and to respond.

Restrictions

  • Members cannot form a similar organisation while being a member.
  • Members must not form a similar origination in competition with 4IVy Ltd within 6 months of leaving.
  • The paperwork, website and workings of 4Ivy Ltd are confidential and subject to copyright and must not be circulated or reproduced to non-members in any form and to do so could lead to legal action.
  • Members should not comment on the workings or method of 4 Ivy Ltd to the press or media or other parties without prior consent from the management committee or membership meeting, such consent is not to be

Liability
