About Four Ivy

4 Ivy was founded in 2022 by 3 Carmarthenshire businesswomen, Nicola John, Angharad Harding and Janet Collins. The aim of the company is to bring like-minded females from the business community together to share knowledge and skills. The 4 Ivy events provide an opportunity for networking and engagement whilst providing business support for female entrepreneurs.

Four Ivy meet quarterly to discuss business and economic topics that affect the way businesses are run in our region, Wales and the wider UK.  Our meetings currently take place in locations in Carmarthenshire

4 Ivy Values

Janet Collins

Janet began her career in small accountancy Practice, initially as a secretary and progressing into payroll, VAT and Accountancy. She then developed her career with a Swansea firm, developing knowledge and skills and studying for a qualification. Janet returned to Carmarthenshire, joining LHP Chartered Accountants, initially as Senior Accountant, before becoming Practice Manager and Director.

In her current role developing the practice, she manages 80 staff across 6 offices. Janet is also a Business Wales mentor and meets with clients assisting them in becoming more digital online with HMRC requirements. She also provides Business advice to clients. Janet works with companies and organisations of different types including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, charities and social enterprises, advising on CIC, Limited by guarantee, and CIO.

Janet is also a fluent welsh speaker.
Angharad Harding

Angharad harding

Angharad has been a business advisor and project manager for 18 years, and can advise businesses on how to start, develop and grow your business. Support varies from business planning, financial applications, project management and strategic development.

The owner of Aim High Busnes Ltd, Angharad has great regional connections and collaborates with several organisations to develop tendering opportunities, bid writing and connecting the business community. Providing that one-to-one support to businesses.

On a personal level, Angharad has a partner and three children. Most of her time is spent on the side of a rugby or football pitch. A committee member for Carmarthen Quins Juniors and team manager for Carmarthenshire Schools Football Association. She is also one of the governors at Coleg Sir Gar.

nicola john

Nicola John

Nicola has worked in various management and training roles for over 30 years. She spent a significant portion of her career as a managing director in the manufacturing and construction sectors.

Nicola has run her own business consultancy company for several years called NJJ Business Solutions Ltd. Nicola works for a variety of companies from local start-ups to International blue chip companies and all in between. In this role, Nicola uses her skills, experience and knowledge to help with company growth, business strategy, business planning, training and development, leadership mentoring and system adherence.

Nicola is also a mentor for Business Wales and the Institute of Directors and takes great satisfaction from seeing new businesses and their owners grow and flourish.

On a personal level, Nicolas's family are now grown up and she is the proud Nana to 6 grandchildren. She loves to travel and enjoys working in different locations to get that work/life balance.
